The Supply Chain Sourcing Obligations Act (LkSG), which will come into force from 2023, will in future oblige companies to ensure an effective risk management system for sustainable business and human rights throughout the entire supply chain. Many companies underestimate the opportunities as well as the risks that this topic entails for the future success of the company.
Sustainability is thus becoming a strategic competitive advantage for companies, and purchasing is taking on a particularly key role in global sustainable development.
But what does sustainability mean in purchasing? How can purchasing develop sustainable procurement strategies and implement them in a structured way together with the relevant stakeholders?
It is necessary to rethink old concepts and deal responsibly with non-transparent global supply chains, scarce resources and human rights along the entire supply chain. In order to take this into account, purchasing urgently needs the necessary know-how on the topic of sustainability as well as a clear strategy for its compliance and monitoring at suppliers.
This seminar provides a holistic and practical approach to the areas of action and opportunities for purchasing to systematically integrate sustainability into its strategies and practices. Case studies, exercises and checklists combined with selected practical examples and time for discussion and individual questions provide participants with concrete guidance and implementation tools for their own organization and its processes.
