The Association Network Logistics (VNL) Switzerland announced the winner of the Logistics-TIP Award on April 10 at the Logistics & Distribution trade fair in Zurich. IPG was represented in the TIP jury with two senior partners: Carsten Vollrath, Dr. Hans von Pfuhlstein.

THE WINNER ...
... of the logistics TIP price 2019 is Prognosix.
Dr. Peter Kauf, CEO and co-founder of Prognosix, has been handed over a check for 2000 Swiss francs by co-sponsor Carsten Leuters, Director, KPMG AG.
The start-up offers a scientifically, mathematically based software solution to support complex forecasting processes. It combines self-learning algorithms with the experience and intuition of system users. Good forecasting can significantly save costs along the entire supply chain. The sophisticated, innovative solution convinced the jury with its high user benefit in many areas of supply chain management and application in companies of all sizes of various industries. The market potential in the field of industry and logistics and the associated resource planning is immense. Prognosix is a good example of a startup that has emerged from the practical collaboration between university research and industry.

Strong candidature field
"All contestants were favored by at least one jury member," explained Prof. Herbert Ruile, President of VNL Switzerland. "Assessment criteria were the practical benefits of the product for logistics, marketability, market potential and growth opportunities for innovation."
Log-Hub AG applied with a supply chain app portfolio for industrial and logistics companies, which is available as a Microsoft Excel add-in. Kemaro GmbH presented an industrial sweeper robot with integrated dust extraction for large areas (5000 + m2) and coarse dirt. Until now, such robots exist only for private use. And Ralog Engineering AG offers services for the optimization of energy-autonomous cold chains and thereby contributes to CO2 reduction. All four start-up companies stand for the innovative power of the Swiss location, according to Prof. Herbert Ruile.
On the occasion of the award ceremony, he thanked all contestants and the 24-member jury for their great commitment. He also thanked the sponsors KPMG Switzerland and Innosuisse, the exhibition organizer Easyfairs and the team of VNL Switzerland, without whom the TIP Logistics technology and innovation park and the competition could not have been realized. KPMG and VNL were also co-sponsors of the logistics TIP award this year.
He was proud, emphasized Prof. Herbert Ruile, that the check amounting to CHF 2.000 would go to a company that had emerged from university research and is now successfully positioning itself in competition. It symbolizes the mission of the VNL as a bridge builder between research and business.
