Build a complete SRM requirements baseline and turn it into an objective, traceable technology decision.
Cross-functional interviews and workshops aligned Procurement, Finance, IT, business divisions, Compliance and Sustainability; consolidated pain points, defined the To-Be SRM lifecycle and prioritized requirements.
Priority requirements and use cases were mapped against the existing and planned SAP portfolio to clarify the S/4HANA foundation, utilization gaps and required additional SRM capabilities.
The SRM market was screened across solution clusters using functional fit, non-functional requirements and partner DNA to create an evidence-based shortlist and decision basis.
The project converted a broad and partly undifferentiated requirement set into a structured, evidence-based SRM decision architecture.
Technology selection becomes meaningful only after supplier tiers, governance, process ownership, data rules and priority use cases are clear.
Use the ERP as the system of record where it adds value, but assess additional capabilities objectively where supplier governance, risk and collaboration need more depth.
Functional fit alone is not enough. Security, integration, auditability, data residency and partner quality can be decisive in regulated environments.
